Chłopcy ze Smeltinga nosili kasztanowe surduty, pomarańczowe pumpy zapinane pod kolanami i płaskie słomkowate kapelusze zwane wioślarskimi. Mieli też sękate kije zwane smeltingami, którymi okładali się nawzajem gdy nauczyciel nie patrzył.
